In last few days, the Guwahati City has been beautified in war footing with new paintings, road-side decorations, colorful lighting etc. All right thinking Guwahatians wish this beauty to last forever and be real not something superficial and temporary. For this to happen, both govt/administration and the citizen must act hand-in-hand, like....
GOVT:
(1) Streamline the electrical / telephone / cable-TV/ internet/ fiber optic cables.
(2) The dirty/smelly dust-bin/ garbage collection needs to be removed from main roadside.
(3) Clean the Bhorolu river.
(4) Ban throwing plastic bags/bottles on drains.
PEOPLE:
(1) Stop spiting red paan on the recently colored walls / dividers.
(2) Stop littering the road.
